Fantasy Football Gameweek 6 Update

Well that was a crazy weekend of football. For all our Fantasy Football managers out there, you must have been sweating! City smash 8 goals past Watford with no Sterling included, United lose 2-0 to West Ham, Villa take a 2-0 lead against Arsenal, only to lose 3-2 and Liverpool manage to hold on against Chelsea to make it six wins on the bounce.

Gameweek 6 Review

What did I learn in terms of my fantasy team? Sweet. F**k. All.

Here I was after Gameweek 5, very proud that deciding to play my wildcard had somewhat worked with 65 points amassed. So for Gameweek 6, I decided to go with Sterling as my captain because City were playing Watford who were bottom of the league and they had just lost to Norwich so there was bound to be goals aplenty.

I’m out for a stroll with the Mrs on Saturday, who I’m giving my undivided attention to (while also keeping one eye on my phone for score updates). The weather was good. The birds were singing in the trees. The goals at the Etihad Stadium were pouring in. Life was good.

That is until I got home and checked out the scorers. Life was no longer good. Sterling was on the bench and didn’t even come on! I was disgusted, as I’m sure the other 1.4 MILLION managers who had given Sterling the armband for Gameweek 6 were too. F**k you Pep.

The Stag’s Balls Conference Leage Standings

In terms of The Stags Balls Conference, Mark Toolan’s Loughouver United have managed to hold on to top spot for the second week in a row. Mark holds a 20 point lead over a new entry at second place this week – Karl McDonagh’s Mack Attack who is closely followed in third place by the Gameweek 4 leader, Steven McDonagh’s Flynnchester United.

Well done lads!

No change at the bottom with my colleague Shane and his team Enter the Wagon still sitting proudly in 138th place.

Standings:

  1. Loughouver United – Mark Toolan
  2. Mack Attack – Karl McDonagh
  3. Flynnchester United – Steven Flynn
